Shot show Ti-lock pics

This is definately a knife I have to see and handle in person.

I think the big issue for me will be the size of the knife - the large Sebenza is a little smaller than I would like, and I understand the Ti-lock is in between the small and large Sebenza for size.

I'm wondering if fuzz, lint and other crap will build up in the slot between the lockbar and the top of the blade.

I'm on the fence. I need to see it in someones hands and more than likely give those who plan to buy it some time to use it. I would like to hear their opinions how the knife feels and functions.

I want one. Strangely, I am not overly concerned with performance. I have my small Sebenza for hard projects, home repair, etc, I have my Mnandi for my every day needs, and the TI would be my "fun" knife that I don't even really need to use that often. More of a conversation piece or work of art.

The design is starting to grow on me and I can't wait to handle one. Thanks to Lunde for the awesome (as usual) pics!:thumbup:

I agree, it seems like a knife that I would own mostly to appreciate the engineering. I do hope that the msrp does end up being less than $475 because that is a little steep for me.

What I've been told. . . .$475 will be the purchase price.

I want one, but I'm still debating whether the wallet is willing to take that bump. :D

I think it looks like a neat, fun knife to have but not for anywhere near $475. A sebenza or an umnumzaan yes, this one no. But that's just my opinion, which isn't worth much! :p

Anyone think CRK will volunteer one for a pass around?

I'm not sure, I might buy one and send it through a pass-around though.

I'm not sold on a few things. First the prototypes were polished not blasted. Second I dislike the clip. Majorly dislike the clip. Words cannot describe how awful I feel the clip is.

Otherwise the blade shape looks cool, has a unique interesting locking mechanism, and it is a mid-sized folder.

I'm with Josh. That clip is hideous. I'm sure it's wonderfully functional but it's an eyesore, much more so than the "idaho made" stamp which I could also live without. I also preferred the polished look over the bead blast.

The knife felt great in the hand. The lock is interesting to say the least. Remember, the lock isn't made for strength but rather ingenuity and awesomeness! :D

Just imagine cutting an apple and all that juice and gunk getting into the spring. You really have to clean this knife properly after use. Not very practical. The "toy" factor is undisputed.

You don't give your blade a quick rinse when cutting fruit?

That is the deal breaker for me. I don't like liner locks for the same reason.

I most likely will get it just because it's a new Reeve folder. And every folder he puts out is amazing. Not sure if I would if it cost $250 and it was made by Benchmade though.
Just being honest.
As with all his stuff if I don't like it I can sell it for a small loss easily.
