Just a heads up to all the SOG Forumites.

I'll be at the SHOT Show between February 1st and 4th and will be very preoccupied (in other words, not even near a computer). So everyone, please play nicely!

We have some very fun new "toys" to introduce. I'll try to get something posted with pictures as soon as I can after the show.

Hey Ron, if you need help with Pics, feel free to send me some of the new toys and I'll be sure to take pics and post them.:D

BTW have fun at the show and be safe.

Have a good time Ron! Keep us informed on all the new stuff and anything else you find neat! Talk to you later!

This is likely my last post till sometime next Tuesday. If anyone has my cell phone number, please feel free to call and check in to see how the show's going (I'll hand my phone to the customer with whom I'm selling/demonstrating and you can say "Hi" to them). ;) Or, if you're visiting the Excalibur Hotel & Casino, stop by my room and say "Hi." ;) And more importantly, if anyone is visiting Seattle, stop by and visit my wife and kids. ;) They'll be lonely!

Anyone AT the SHOT Show, you better stop by the SOG booth (#5808) and visit me! I'll make sure you get to see the "toys." I'll feel naked without my daily arsonal with me!

Take care, Soggers (an inside term)!

Stoped by and said hi to Ron today at the show, got to play with one of the assisted openers, very nice knife. Like the lock feature, and the smoothness of the assist.
Think I might have to end up with one once they are "out". From what he was saying these should be very reasonably priced.

Cant wait to go back tomorrow and spend some more time playing with the new toys.

I'm back. I'm tired. I'm grumpy...but very satisfied. It was a great SHOW (it's still going on through tonight). I flew in late last night. I met several people from the forums (I remember Nimrod, Spark, and Eich1911) as well as zillions of others.

Our new knives were very well received. The assisted opener line is very exciting. The protoypes we had at the show were first rate and worked outstandingly well.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see any of the rest of the show (except when walking to and from the bathroom :) ...which wasn't often  ). I hope to get back in my slacking routine of only 10 hour work days and 5-6 hours of sleep).

It looks like thing were quiet here in the SOG Forum while I was gone.

It's good to be back.

Welcome back Ron! One day I'm going to make it to the show!! Glade you had a good time and a safe trip!!

Did the airlines give you a hard time for being a "knife guy"?

I spent more time looking through my luggage (just a carry-on) and pockets, looking for and purging the many knives that I regulary have on my right front pocket, on my key chain, in my brief case, in my left front pocket, in my "shaving kit," and that dreaded fingernail file on my nail clippers.

Of course, I'm smart enough NOT to say, "Hey Mr. Security Screener, I work for a knife company who makes assault knives and I always carry knives everywhere. I also always have a Glock 27 on my hip! Want to call those really big National Guardsman with the assault rifles over here to search me?" ;)

Glad ya made it back ok Ron.
Hope the show will help you bag a bigger market share this year!!
Next time you come to vegas not on official business shoot me a e-mail, we will have to do dinner.

That's a deal!!! :) I have to admit, the only really, really good thing about the trip, besides business, was the food. We hit a couple of nice restaurants. Very fine Italian food and Steakhouse restaurants were a welcome retreat after a rewarding, but grueling day.

Hey Ron, it's nice to have you back. Glad you had a good time at the show. Would you mind posting pics and such from the show? After you get some rest of cource;)

Hi Heber,

You're kidding, right? I didn't have time to eat, breath, use the facilities, sit, rest, blink, blow my nose, much less take pictures from when I had breakfast at 6:30am to when I had dinner at 9-10pm. Believe me, photography wasn't even on my mind.

Rest assured, there will be no official SOG pictures of us posing in the SOG booth.

;)
