I don't know what it is about being out in the cold with my BWMLE that makes me want to take shots that were just on fire, but it all just went together a little too well.

I thought I would share with you all and I hope you hogs (that drink) try this shot. I was introduced to it at an underground Russian club when I worked in Baltimore City. They made them much larger and poured them from glass to glass while on fire but....

All you need - coffee beens and Sambuca. Light it on fire and let it heat up. (put out the flames somehow:p) Take the shot and chew up the coffee beens.

It's a quite popular shot in Germany. Has a taste of anise. Depending on the lightning the flame can become almost invisible. I've already seen several mustaches on fire

Pretty sure the Eye-Talians were doing it before the Russians and Germans. (Wow - is this a bad WWII flick or something? LOL)

I love the Youtube videos of people drinking it before it goes out. Pretty dumb stuff. LOL

Ya live and learn or you live and burn. Words for several risky endeavors.;)

Another, somewhat safer, way to enjoy Sambuca, is to drink it from a Cognac glass. Holding the bowl of the glass in your palm will warm the drink, and you get the vapors delivered to your nose as you sip.

Yup. Comes from Italy. The tale is that you set it on fire to make sure all insects taking a bath in it are dead before you pour it down your throat. Cheers! :D

I was just rummaging through the liquor cabinet and the memories came back:D I had to take a few for old times sake:)

I had no idea where the shots originated but thats interesting to know.

Guy - I guess you could do it the way GM is served warmed in a snifter over a glass of warm water? Maybe toss it in the microwave??:D The coffee beens make this shot though:)

Yes, warming in the microwave works. You can still have the coffee beans as the reward at the end.
