I am not sure if this is the right catagory for this but I need some help. I just bought a New England Pump Pardner Protector .20 gauge. Yes I know it is made in China. But sadly my wallet can not afford a higher quality gun at this time. I have shot it some, and so far no complaints. I would like to put an after market pistol grip on. This is where I need help. When I find the grips on line (Cabelas for example) the description says .12 gauge only. Now since this gun is a knock off of the Remingtion 870 does it matter if I get a grip that is for a .12 gauge when I own the .20 gauge. Is the receiver that much different?

I have seen other sites that say their grips will fit all shot guns, Rem, Moss, and New england regardless of gauge.

any help is appreciated.

Not sure about the Pardner, but Remington's pump receivers are different 12ga vs. 20 ga. If it is indeed a knock of of the Remington, then a stock designed for the proper gauge Remington should fit. But Cabelas should be able to advise you properly. - Ed J

The only 870 20s that would match up receiver wise is a full frame and they have not been made for a while. As for the pistol grip I am sure you can find one that will fit a 20ga. Remington is making a lot of tactical stuff now in many different calibers. Good luck in your search. Not sure I really helped at all but oh well. I like to talk. :)

Find a friend with an 870 or go back to the store where you got yours and compare the two side by side.

picked one up at Cabelas today. I fit great. Tried it out when I got back, I like it. Its not going to be a hunting gun, got it mainly for HD. Price was higher that I have seen online but I had some coupons, and other business in the store and figured while I was there to go ahead and get it. Thanks to everyone for suggestions.
