Ya know guys, for every RC knife we posess, love and carry with us, thousands are sold into bondage to be stuffed into a sock drawer or left on a workbench or stuffed into a tackle box, never to be properly used or ......loved.

That's why I've started Shotgunner's home for abused and underprivileged RATs.
Were a non profit organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of RATs that are so desparately in need of a home.

For about a dollar a day, or the cost of a RAT fire kit a month, you can sponsor a RAT knife, just like this one.

Obviously, she's seen some use.....and perhaps, some abuse.:(

She came from a fellow forum member who just didn't feel as though he could care for her anymore. Our foundation put together our resourses and traded a knife for her and saved her from a fate worse than death for a hard worker like a RAT, lack of use.

I encorage all of you to look deep into your hearts and find the time to scour the exchange here on BF for other underprivileged RATs looking for an owner......just like you.

Damn that's a sorry lookin knife...and I love every bit of it!

Might I ask how much that beater cost ya?

I appreciate your efforts and look forward to working towards this worthy cause :D

I traded it for a new Fox River. Not exactly an economically even trade but I was never going to use the FR and I'm a sucker for RATs. I never really got into the convex thing either. Been sharpening my knives on the same stone for 23 years, all the sudden I needed paste and scraps of leather and sandpaper and mouse pads. I had to carry a toolbox with me into the wild just to touch up my edges.

A beat up RC-4 is cooler than a new FR any day. I still think I got the better end of the deal.:D

Not to mention, It makes my heart feel good to give a RAT a good home.;)

I guess I should have called my last thread the Home For Wayward RATs. The Izula was the only new purchase.:D
