Getting ready to ship these to Paul Bos. Most are 80CrV2. I want 62 RC. I am wondering what “triple tempering” will do for them. I have never done my own heat treating and know little about tempering. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this.

The big advantage of sending blades to places like Paul Bos and Peter's is they know how to HT. Tell them the desired final hardness and any other things you want, and they will do the rest.

There is no advantage to 80CrV being triple tempered.

Also, I want somebody to say, "Hey, those are cool looking blades! Great work, Andy!"

Hopefully these will be in the mail to Paul Bos today, and I will finish some before all the deer hunting is over.

I already printed the shipping label.
