Should CRKT Make a 5" Crawford FF?

I very much like the knife at the top of this photo of Crawford knives:

Unfortunately, it's only available as a custom as far as I know and prices start at $600, which is a great deal more than I'd like to spend . However, wouldn't it be nice if CRKT made one? Who's with me on this?

Certainly gets my vote! I already own 3 in that pattern (sm. and lg. in black micarta and a lg.Professional).....they fit my hand superbly!!

Why limit the blade steel to AUS8? How about something better, like ATS-34?

CRKT doesn't do ATS-34. Their AUS-8 is decent enough for a working knife. A 5 inch folder from them would be great - throw in a flipper and a LAWKS, called it a multi-maker collaboration, and you have paydirt.

I think another choice in a big, affordable folder would be a great seller. I've read of only a very few people who did not like the original CKFF Crawford did with CRK&T.
LOT'S of folks like the idea of having a big folder in the line-up if for no other reason than to show it to friends and say "lookee what I got!"

I EDC a Cuda Maxx 5.5 most of the time(when I'm not toting one of my own fixed blades) so bring on a CKFF in AUS-8A and I'll save nickels and dimes if need be to add one of these babies to my EDC line-up.

I'm likin' this idea a whole lot!

Yes I'd love a 5" KFF, but I will not carry it due to legality. I'd probably use it to scare off friends

I would also love a KFF with 5" of steel. Preferably good steel, but AUS 8 is ok, I guess...

There are quite a few people on this board who own a 5" or 6" Cold Steel Voyager or Vaquero (AUS8), so I think there's definitely a market for a 5" Crawford FF of AUS8.

So, shall we begin a letter writing campaign to CRKT? Sure, it takes a little time, but what a beautiful knife that 5" FF is! I'd sure like to have one.

Yes a 5" CRKT would be awesome, it would be real cool to have a 6" and 7" also.
