Thought I would walk down to the shop earlier today to do some things I had been putting off. First thing change one of the belts on the drill press. Who thinks to unplug the the thing, next time I will. While I was trying to put belt on I reach around with me free hand to get a little more leverage and hit the damn switch and two of my fingers on my right hand get tore up pretty good. The wife tries to get me to go to the ER but I was afraid I would miss out on turkey. All you other guys be sure and unplug things when you are doing maintance, Signed: a Real Dumb A$$..........

First thing we learned in shop class. Hope your fingers heal quickly.

I think I will only lose the nail on my index finger and the skin around it is gone. The first knuckje is swollen pretty bad, the middle finger is cut at the first joint pretty deep but can not be sewn not enought left to stitch. Thanks all for the concern just wanted to remind everyone what can happen.

I'm going to say what everyone else is thinking...WHERE ARE THE PICTURES !!! It doesn't count without pictures..

Minor flesh wounds. Count your blessings. :D

I don't think It is that bad. I think all of the hurting and thobbing was from what seemed like 6 rolls of gauze and two rolls of tape that my wife had my circulation cut off with all day. :D

I looked through your site at all the stuff. I bet that's not the first good "owwie" you've had! :)

Heal quick and well!

Good "shop tip" reminder. Glad it wasn't a "finger tip"!

You cryin' about THAT? Good Heavens, I cut my head off once. Good thing my faithful dog, Captain Nemo was there. He grabbed my head and ran upstairs to show the wife. Some CA glue, and I was right as rain. Lucky she got me patched up before I lost too much blood. She just poured a couple shots of tequila and a couple beers down my neck-hole and glued and stapled my head back on. It was kind of a floppy setup, but a few popsicle sticks and some duct tape and I was good to go. Hey, after all I had a knife to finish.

So quit whinin' ya pansy! :D
