Okay so my CS GKukri has an issue with the Kraton handle. There's a bit of space (I can stick as something as thick as construction paper into the crack easily) between the Kraton and tang/knife And there's a bigger gap almost a milemeter wide under the ricosso. How I discovered this was polishing out the scratches and giving it a rougher look (I could fully polish it out no problem) (with 800 grit quite fine nice sandpaper) And I cleaned some factory grease from the Kraton and noticed the cracks.

Thanks and have a great day

Okay, I decided as a preventive/try to put some locktite around where it seems to have failed. I'll test it out soon to see if it holds up.

as long as theres no moisture getting in it should be fine. i would get it replaced before you get too attached and make memrioes just to have it fail but my recon tanto handle came slightly loose ( i threw it a bit, not really smart i suppose) 5 years ago but is still fine with chopping and such use, with the brass thong hole rivot it shouldnt ever just slide off.

You used Loc-Tite to fill in a gap between the blade and the handle material? Loc-Tite is supposed to be used on fasteners such as nuts, bolts, screws, etc. It's not a filler epoxy. Also the knife in question is a stick tang blade with the fastener at the pipe near the butt. I don't quite understand what your comment about "failed" means.

Keep us posted. I've heard of heavily used blades developing some handle play. I have a 20 year old LTC and the handle is very solid. Good luck.

I meant failed to keep together. And it was something by Locktite not just plain old Locktite. Okay thanks for the replies, I gave it some use and testing with the re-securing the other day and it did great, the gap where construction paper could fit in was in a very small part and is completely fixed now. It wasn't at all noticeable but I was very closely inspecting it and took safe measures.
