Should I be worried? (Paramilitary question)

I like my new Paramilitary a lot, and don't regret purchasing it despite what I see as a potential problem not too far down the road.

Here's the problem: The lock bar started out almost all the way over to the opposite side when locked open. In other words, there's not much room at all for wear.

As you may know, at forst I thought the pivot pin would adjust it. I was wrong -- it's not an eccentric pin ( :o ). Then, I read on the Spyderco Forum that the stop pin was eccentric. Well, I've turned that round and round and at least on mine it doesn't do anything (did I just do it wrong?).

There's barely 1/16" before the lock bar hits the opposite scale. Sould I return it or send it to Spyderco, or just chill?

I would send it in.By rotateing the stop pin on the one I had made a differance but maybe it was a fluke.

I've got it right in front of me. It's not 1/16" -- it's closer to 1mm. :(

No room for wear to speak of.

Either exchange it where you got it or send to Spyderco. If you have to mail it anyway send to Spydie.
A great knife..

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to exchange it today at River's Edge in Columbus, Ohio. They're giving me a new one with a lock bar that's only 1/2 way across the tang. Great store. :)

Great news. And a fine store that should exchange it. So many stores would hassle you in this.
Rivers Edge is a fine example of a cool store.

I believe it worked on yours but not on my first one, and here's why. I just got done playing with my replacement Para, and I can say with 100% certainty that the pivot pin is eccentric. I can move the lock bar almost all of the way over to the lock side, and then, with the knife locked open with the usual amount of force, I can "walk" the lock bar to the halfway point of the tang by turning the pivot pin. And by turning it exactly half way, it moves all the way one way or the other. Maybe its not supposed to be eccentric, but this one is. Same could be true of your stop pin.
