Should I be worried?

New to CRKs and learning a lot from the forums. I have purchased all but one of my 21s from the Knife Exchange. Im a little worried about this last one. Again being new I don't want to create issues with anyone as I know knifes change with time. The one on the left looks different from the rest and its a bit unsettling. Back of thumb stud and Idaho Made looks a bit off to me.

That one should be the older of all the ones pictured if I had to guess. They did change the depth of "Idaho Made", and they started making dimples on the backs of the thumb studs like all the other ones you have about 2-3 yrs ago(I think)...good to go:thumbup:

Thanks for the reply. I assume it is the oldest but it did not come with box of paperwork. Again a slight cause for concern on my part. The inside of scale is stamped B 11. Blade is stamped with a V.

Do all the clips look the same? They should all on the very end have a bend that goes parallel with the knife. The R stamp should have a slight curve in the leg of the R and not be straight. If those things are good, it's real. I've got a small regular with a single lug that has a flat, smooth side to it if that's what you're thinking is different. Don't have a clue on the Idaho stamp.

That looks perfect to me as well.
As was mentioned, the flat backed studs were the norm until a little after the lanyard pin showed up, then they were dimpled to match the pin.

By the way, that's a very nice collection.

Thanks for the reply. Guess I was a little overly concerned, but knew you guys would help me out. And thanks for the compliment. Obviously two are Micarta inlay, one is the KA CF exclusive and the last my newest is just a plain 21. All are insingo blades. After years of collecting other knives I finally took the plunge a few months ago and have never looked back. IMO CRK is the finest knife one can buy for the money. Thanks again for the input.

I know I'm just eccoing here but that is an earlier knife than the others and is genuine..... You also have a nice wee collection there, the micarta inlay Sebenza are a splendid thing. :)

The date code, and steel marking on the blade make me believe it's real,If you get too many, and change EDC's , you could send it in for a replacement card and box if it bothers you.

Are you saying CRK will provide a replacement birth card and box for a knife that doesn't have that material? Because I have a small ebony inlay Sebenza with no paperwork or box, and it sure would be nice to have that stuff. Don't know how they'd establish a date for a replacement birth cert...

If they service the knife, they will put it in a new-style box and will include a card with the date of service, but they can't provide old-style boxes or copies of the original card.
