Should I be worried?

I just ordered 2 Becker Brutes before Christmas and that led me to this forum. Now I'm reading all this horrible information about camillus and how they are going out of business and that the knives are no longer going to be made, or worse yet, mad in China. The online store is closed until mid Jan so they haven't even processed my credit card or my order.

I REALLY want these knives but after wading through this stuff, don't feel too confident about ever getting them. Should I cancel and try to find them locally or at a gun and knife show, or just go with it?

As of the present moment, Camillus is still in business. From what I read, they will restart production sometime after the New Year and start filling orders.
I have had some on order for over a month and a half, and the place I ordered them from, refunded my shipping because of being back ordered, and forgot to let me know.
They will get them, it's just a matter of time.
 
There are no reports of imported Becker sightings (yet). So if the store you ordered from had Becker Brutes in stock, they are almost certainly made in the USA at the Camillus factory.

One regular poster here at Bladeforums has passed on information that once Camillus resumes production, Becker knives would be first on the production schedule. Whether that's true or not I have no idea, and I can't vouch for the poster's knowledge. It could be that's what Camillus is telling dealers though.

I hope you guys are right. I was hoping to have my BK-1 soon as I plan to take a week off after the Hawgs wip up on the badgers and head out to the quachitas, but that doesn't look to be the case.

I've heard from one source that some Brutes might be hitting the distribution pipeline in the not-too-distant future. Don't give up hope yet.
 
Guys! I don't believe the Beckers will be going overseas. I'm sure Mr. Becker will keep production here in the U.S (just not at Camillus).
 
I'm with knifeworker, The Beckers are as American as Apple Pie. Although I'm not so sure that Camillus is going to loose the Line. I hope I don't eat those words...
