Should I blue or .........

So, I recently stripped my BK9. Then (for the 1st time ever) I made some micarta and shaped it into some new scales. Now that I've done these things to my baby, I want to put some text on it. I know some of you have a good deal of experience here, so if you could post pics or make suggestions, it would help a lot. Should I blue, etch or some other method??
