Best flow chart ever. There is only one conclusion: the correct one
I don't really need one.
I Think they are around the $50 mark, and stock is low. Your point is well taken though. They are inexpensive and good utility knives, so I'd suggest buying one as long as they are still in the $30-45.00 range.
I'd recommend not buying one from the people who sell the SK5 Recon Tanto for $60.00+ and especially not from those ripping people off by selling them for over $100.00 as if they were the Carbon V version.
They are inexpensive enough to have one in the trunk, one in the garage, etc.
The same applies to the SRK in the same price range.
If you want to chop metal poles or smash concrete blocks, look for another knife.![]()
On a more serious note, the Recon Tanto is an excellent knife and will be a great first tanto blade. Very nice knives, strong and capable.I don't really need one. I have two knives that are the same size already. But, I do not have a tanto in my collection.
Oh, please don't be mad if I don't take your advice![]()
Don't forget the pictures!** Order placed **
Thanks for enabling
I remember holding a Recon Tanto over 20 years ago at a gun show. It seems too big and too badass at the time. Now I can finally handle it![]()
