I am wondering if the large sebenza is worth getting since I already have a alias 1 and a umnumzan. Whenever I see the umnumzan compared to the lg sebenza in a review, the umnumzan seems to win. Are there any features on the large sebenza which make it worth getting even though I already have knives of similar looks and quality?

By my short experience in this forum, I think that asking whether you should or not get a Sebenza in here is the same as asking your friends "Megan Fox called and asked me to come over bringing some condoms. Should I go?"

don't go. you need brain surgery first for asking that ;)

i had an ummie before the seb. it was definitely worth it buying the seb. get one!

Yes get a Sebenza.

it really comes down to preference and if you think you will use it. personally i really like my sebenza, i EDC it, i use it, etc. if you have an umnumzaan it is really close to the large seb, if you have the money and think you would use it then go ahead, but if you dont think you would use it then maybe you could look into something else. just my 2 cents :)

I'd just save alittle more $$ up and go for something different. There is alot to choose from out there when you start getting up there in the $$$.
Besides you've already got a sebie. The spice of life right!

Personally I would suggest buying a large Sebenza and then selling either the Umnumm or the Seb depending on which one you find that you like better. However to make it a fair comparison(and to get more cool knives:thumbup:) you would have to buy both a regular and a classic/21 seb. You could then sell the two that you like least or keep them and have a nice lil collection. I'd say definately buy a seb though, they're not one of the most popular high end knives for nothin.

Look no further I think he summed it up just right.

I stayed away from the Alias, and resisted a CR Sebenza for years. I'm glad I stayed away from the Alias (only because I still would have wanted a Sebenza), and I finally broke down and bought a Sebenza a few months ago. I'm sorry I waited on the Sebenza.

I have a lg. seb,a zaan, and an alias I. I like and use my zaan much more

than the seb. I hardly ever use the Alias I...spoiled by the CRKs.

The only way to know about the seb is to buy one. If you dont like it

you should have an easy time selling it here and and not losing much. You

may like the seb and add it to your edc rotation.:D

Is all this advice making your decision a little harder ?

I bought a large seb and carried it a while, but once I bought the zaan I never carried it again. I do think I would like to try one with micarta inlays. I prefer the regular blade profile over the 21.

Buy one from Northwest Blades.

7 day return policy. And some of the best customer service I have ever had. I just got a small 21 and love it.

If you can afford it, get the Sebenza. If anything, it will let you appreciate the differences and improvements made on the Umnumzaan. I myself prefer the Sebenza because it's the classic Chris Reeve knife and feels a little more solid in my opinion.

If you even consider getting Sebenza seriously, you will probably not be satisfied before you do get it. Sounds like you want it when you even ask that, so get one you like, if you can afford that, so you don't need o loan money for it or be without food for it.
