Should I get a BM 531-1501?

I just got my 531 (see link below) that I really like. I'm waiting to get the deep-carry pocketclip that I requested from BM. In the meantime is there any reason that I should acquire a 531-1501? I assuming the scale coloring is the only difference from the 531. I'm not a collector, so the desire to get one just because it's available, really isn't motivation for me.

I was wondering the same thing, now I really am torn, I like the blue/black grey/black scales on the stock 531, but the S30V on the REI speaks to me as well.

Blade swap that shizz! That’s the only reason why I picked up my 530-1501 (for the S30V satin blade upgrade). Benchmade like’s to take their sweet time with steel upgrades on certain models.. I’m waiting for the day they release a non-Gold Class M390 531 blade..

Regarding the -1501 scales, I honestly can’t stand the green.. I tried to give it a shot, but my 530-1303 CF scales prevailed.
