I was at smoky mountain knife works, and got a Delica in my hand and it felt nice. I was wondering if Spyderco has another knife like the Delica, but one that it's made in America.
If you've never owned a Spyderco before you should own at least a Delica, I think it was the one Spydeco other than the original "Worker" that drew most people to Spyderco and their style of knife.
Without a doubt. I have owned 2, and both became gifts to friends for their first quality knife. Well made, good ergos, and one heck of an edge out of the box
The thumb hole keeps your thumb away from the cutting edge of the blade unlike thumb studs. The FRN models with bi-directional surface texturing and skeletonized liners are light and strong one-handed knives. I feel that the longer blade of the Endura gives the operator more options while the Delica is more descreet. I own both but I've never carried a Delica. I've EDCd the Endura for years. I have XL hands.
Both Endura and Delica:

Terrific pocket knives. And thank you for asking the choir if you should sing.
The Delica is a grand EDC choice as far as I'm concerned. I carried one for years, and considered it to be one of the most Ergonomic folders I've owned. Its size is great and a nice medium of a sort. I wish I would have gone the FFG route, however, but the Saber Ground Delica I owned treated me quite well.
Slightly longer answer - I always put off ordering a Delica based on having big hands and assuming it would get a bit lost. However when an offer too good to refuse came up on a local knife website I grabbed it and couldn't be happier. In fact I liked it so much I immediately went and ordered a second. It's a superb slicer, and great lightweight EDC. Took it round to a friends place last week where our two families were breaking down cardboard boxes, and both wives loved it as well, and it takes a bit for my wife in particular to use a knife, let alone comment on one.
I have a spiderco very similar to that, and it is my least favourite knife on looks, but the fact is that on a weight basis, it is probably the best EDC for stuff like ultralite camping. Stuff where you could use a knife now and again, and really need it, but you don't need anything more than a sharp controllable edge.
I liked mine until I got the Para 2 and I haven't carried the Delica since. The compression lock alone on the Para 2 won me over but I feel it's better in everyway. If you look around you can get a deal on a Para 2. I picked mine up for like $80 about a year ago. I gave my Delica to my little brother for his birthday last month. He loves orange and the delica I had was an orange one like Oregon a few posts above mine. Just my opinion
