Should I get Garth to put an asymmetrical edge on my custom shop SAR8?

Any thoughts on this. It seems to me, that if I'm getting a SAR8 made up, I might just as soon get the edge put on it that might work best for a knife in a backwoods camper/survival role. Any thoughts on this?

BTW, my earlier post about getting two Busse's has changed to three. I've been "forced" to add a Basic 7 to my very first foray into Busseland. I blame PeterPHWS for corrupting my unsullied mind! Have you no scruples sir? :thumbdn::thumbup::thumbdn::thumbup::thumbdn::thumbup:

Yes but that still doesn't answer the question about your scruples!:grumpy:

Tough call... that factory zero edge is pretty sweet, but asym is more field friendly. Maybe try an old Basic first to make sure you like that kind of an edge. I love it, but some don't.

Turns out this isn't even an option. One can't put an asymmetrical edge on the knife that has a convex grind. Fairly obvious when you think about it (which I didn't).
