Should I get my first TOPS or buy 2 other good fixed blades for the $?

A lot of good guys on BF's, with a lot of great suggestions and now I need'em all! I need an Esee, a Busse, a Ratmandu and a half dozen TOPS! I need to find a high paying second job dancing on tables near the airport for Japanese business men to get through my shopping list!:D

There have been a couple Battle Saws on the for sale forum lately, so keep checking there. I've found really good deals there on occasion.

IIRC, Rowen also does TOPS 1095 heat treat so it should be approx the same as ESEE. I have been through quite a few TOPS knives over the years but they were mostly 4" or less so I am not much help on their larger blades. They do tend to be priced on the higher side but can be found for less if you look around...isn't there a Canadian Exchange here on BF, yes there is (see link)? I have not looked through the Canadian Exchange but you may want to check it out.

The Rangers edge looks wicked! If I was choosing a pure fighting style knife that might me the one! How do you like it?

Forgot to respond to this. Rangers Edge is on the heavy side for a fighting knife, but I have no doubt it would slash like a champ, but is not too curved to be a good sticker..... bearing in mind that I've only tried it out on watermelons and such. ;')
