Was in a store, and ive been looking for a tiny light, should i get the pulsar II, or search for a photon light instead?

Doesn't matter. Just make sure you either get the Photon II or Pulsar II so you can have the lock-on feature.

Aaron..

For the same money you can get an ARC AAA..

10 Times the flashlight....

Photons are cool,, but the Arc AAA is more of a Real flashlight...

ttyle

Eric...

Of your two choices, I'd get a 6-D cell Mag-Lite.:D.

Seriously...Get the Photon II. I have one, and it carries very well in the watch pocket of my Levi jeans, snuggled-in, right next to my SOG CrossCut.

I'd get an Arc AAA first and a Photon II white or turq. second. The Arc is hard to beat ;)

Aaron - Don't you hate it when you ask for recommendations between two specific items and people suggest something totally different? However, in this case, the other posters are correct. I have several Photon IIs, and they are cool little lights. I no longer use them, though, because the Arc AAA blows them and every other keychain flashlight away. So, unless size is very much a factor, I would go for the best, and pick up an Arc AAA.

I've used both, and between those two...

It does't matter. They're both close enough functionally for you to make a choice based on personal preference. I like the Pulsar II a little better.

I both agree and disagree with the others here: I agree that there are better options; I disagree that the ARC AAA is the one you should choose.

For a few dollars more (I think they're $17, but I could be misremembering a bit), you can get an Avexa Free Light. It's about 1.5-2x the size of the Pulsar II (it's the length of two quaters in a row, and the thickness of four quarters). It has no constant-on switch, but it is easy to add one yourself. If you can settle for these minor disadvantages, you get:

1) solar powered. This means you'll never pay for batteries for the light, or have to change the batteries, again. It also means that you are more likely to have a full charge when you need it. And since it is usually kept fully charged, it usually has the maximum brightness that comes with new batteries.

2) really, truly waterproof

3) surprisingly tough and shock resistant

The Photon II would be my choice between the two,

HOWEVER, I'd recommend the Arc AAA.

You won't be disappointed. ;) :D

Sebenza...oh wait wrong post ;) I would go with the Photon, I bought a Pulsar for my fiance and it just died while my Photon is still goin', much longer than the Pulsar.
