Should I get the Green Beret or the Warrior?

I leave it up to you, my fellow CRK nuts, to help me make the descision. I will be purchasing one of them within the next week. Here's my dilemma:
-The Green Beret feels awesome, but I've heard that the raised tang is a problem for hard use.
-I've never even seen the Warrior in person
-I've heard mixed things about the serrations (which I tend to avoid, but I admit they have their uses)

Any other input would be HUGELY appreciated!

I had a chance to handle both the warrior and the green beret knife a few weeks ago, at a mall store in Virginia.
I liked them both, and will end up buying both at some point. Which one will i buy first? The warrior.
The warrior's blade is a bit shorter, which does make it a little lighter in the hand. I also liked the clip design of the blade.
The tan sheath was pretty cool, it is the same type I use for my titanium SEAL knife. The tan color of the sheath and lanyard is a nice contrast to the black/green handle.
I would have bought the warrior that night, but the salesman was in a rush to leave. It was 15 minutes to closing time, he worked on commission, and he turned down a $300 plus sale. i hopew my employees do not do that when I'm not around....
Anyhow, the warrior would be my first choice.

For me it has to be the Warrior. I’ve had my Warrior for a few months now, and I doubt I will ever buy the Green Beret.

I don’t like serrations, and don’t need serrations.

The Warrior is more comfortable and secure in my medium sized hands.

The shape of the guard and choil on the Warrior allows for an effective forward grip.

The slight recurve on the Warrior makes it great for heavy cutting.

The tip shape and hollow grind on the Warrior allow for reasonably detailed work.

$20 from each Warrior goes to a SEALs son.

I have handled the warrior and the Green Beret and I say warrior as well. The lack of serrations and the blade style are what get me. If I wanted the Green Beret blade style I think I would buy a proj 1 its thicker and heftier. I like others am not a fan of serrations but especially on larged fixed blades. I like the recurve blade like already mentioned. Most of all though it just felt right. I pick it up and it screems buy me now, the Green Beret not so much. If you can pick them both up at the same place I am sure that would help.

I have both. I too would have to give the nod to the warrior. The warrior feels better in the hand and I like the thumb serration on the Warrior as they aid in a saber grip.

I have really big hands, is that going to be a concern with the warrior? Does the tang protrude from the handle on the warrior like it does on the Green Beret?

The tang does protrude from the handle on the Warrior, and I haven’t found this to be a problem. The tang is rounded, and the handle is broad, so my hand just snuggles in around the tang and handle.

My Uncle has much larger hands than me, and he finds the Warrior handle to be comfortable and secure.

i love my green beret and agree with everyone else, the warrior seems to fit and just overall feel better in the hand

The Warrior is a great knife, it feels good in the hand looks great with the tan sheath but I like the 5.5" Green Beret myself. I have not really used the Warrior so I can't compare the two for field use but the Green Beret works awsome as a general camp knife. The serrations never got in the way at all. Maybe one day I'll take the Warrior out and use it then I can campare the two.

Both are awesome knives... but for me NOTHING compares to the handle of Green Beret. Ultrasecure & very comfortable. And personally I like 5.5" the most :)

Or did CRK switch to the same brand of sheaths for both the Warrior and GB? I recall the Warrior sheath being Spec-Ops brand while the GB sheath was someone else?

Professor.

They use Spec-Ops for Warrior and Black Hawk for Green Beret. BTW, the BH sheath is a top model, fully made in USA as confirmed by Anne couple of weeks ago. Both are great. However, again I prefere the Black Hawk that is delivered with GB, because it can be easily converted for high-ride carry on belt and also it's easier to attach upside-down (very well placed straps under the sheath). Warrior has a split-loop, which is also nice. Both are great sheaths, what else would you expect from CRK? :)

I was sure that they were both top-notch, but couldn't recall for sure who made what.

Professor.

Well, I got a screaming good deal on a full sized Green Beret so I went with that. If I like it enough I'll probably get the Warrior too, since I'm not keen on serrations. I should pick up the sucker later today or tomorow, then it's off to stab some hobos!

(and by stab hobos I mean sit in my living room and drool over my new knife)

Ok, I got it in hand now. For $270 NIB with a Spyderco sharpmaker (also new with the video on how to use it, VHS not DVD damnit) it was a deal I just could not pass up!
