Should I hold off buying a Military for the new model?

I've been a bit out of touch lately, so I would appreciate some help from Military afficiandos.

I want a serrated Military, but have seen postings on a new roling lock, sliding lock, black clips, screws, etc.

Are any of these changes imminent enough to hold off a purchase?

What are the time frames?

Thanks

Bluehinder

The RL Military is still quite a ways off, projected release is sometime in Y2K. It's up to you - the knife as it is right now is pretty dynamite, they are all well made. No doubt the changes will make it even better (and more desirable!) If you cannot wait for another year, or possibly two, go ahead and get one of the current ones to tie you over until the RL version sees mass production.

Bluehinder - There will always be a "newer, improved" model. You could wait forever. Especially concerning the Military which is our lab rat. Wait for the cobalt version, or the newest lock experiment? Should I get a new truck now or wait for next years?

Get one now if you can. Like Dexter says this knife is dynamite already. There will always be a new and improve model coming down the pike, you won't be disappointed in the current version. I have the serrated style, too and I love it.

Seems I just bought this computer, then they came out with the Pentium lll, and I got this 7 GB hard drive for only $299, all I'd ever need, right? and a Zip drive, 100MB per, I could never need more, except maybe the Jaz. butt this CD recorder is now all I'll truly ever need......etc, etc, etc

Jeeze, no wonder my wife always seems like she is humoring me when she says "Yes Dear"

I'd agree with Sal, Blue. There's no time like the present to jump into the 'Military' waters. Dive deep and surface on the other side of impressed!

Now buy another one, just in case you lose the first one.

I'd say wait for a newer version, and then buy the old. That way you won't feel that it'll become obsolete(already is) and you get a top-notch knife at a discount.
