My first post, I've been addicted to knives since I was a kid (many moons ago). I love Spyderco and many others, I've been looking at a left-handed Chris Reeves but having a hard time justifying the price, can someone convince me to pull the trigger or not. thanks Tony

Life is short; death lasts forever.
Spend your cash on things that you'll enjoy while being alive.

^THIS.

Also want to add: before some people say that those who have not experienced lower end knives won't be able to truly appreciate CRKs, I say go for it if you really think you'll like it.

Being a lefty there are not many companies making true left-handed knives, I guess I should buy one just for the reason that they make them

The way I see it: if you don't pull the trigger you'll always wonder. It'll eat at you, day after day, week after week, etc... You'll go slightly mad staring at pictures on the forums trying to convince yourself you don't need it. You'll make it through the day, and then next day you'll be right back at it. It is such a waste of valuable time. Trust me.

Just do it. Get it over with and satisfy the demons so that you can move on with your life... and by that I mean move on to the next knife ;)

Worst case if you don't jive with the knife you can always sell it... but take it from me, don't sell it. You'll regret it.

I got one it's one of my favorite knives. It's not for everyone though. No one here can tell you if it's for you or not. Buy one and find out. You can probably get one used for a decent price.

you just described my daily life.

It WILL eat at you if you don't do it. Just make sure you think it through before purchasing.

As long as it is not going to financially ruin your life then definitely do it. I agree with Mcshank, it will definitely eat at you until you do it!

Sebenzas hold their value very well. If you buy one and decide you don't like it, you can always sell it and recoup most of your money, as long as you don't bang it up too much.

Definitely get one to satisfy your curiosity. If you can find one used you'll do better in the case of resale.

My usual response when somebody starts a thread like this is that, if you need convincing, you don't want it enough... so find the knife you do want & buy that instead.
In this case, though, I have to agree with the others - CRK, once you find yourself wondering, will haunt you til you try it. No guarantees that you'll love it; but there's only one way to find out.

I recently won a Large Sebenza 21 in a raffle. I love the knife except I too carry left handed. It is a beautiful piece and I am glad I have it makes me want to buy the left handed version.

I've been there. Agonizing and going nuts over the purchase, and after you go totally nuts, you know what? You end up buying it anyway. Save the insanity and psychologist bills. Just buy the damned thing and bypass the misery.

Right now I have a Protech auto LH, Para2 LH, Dpx LH, there is no way I'm not gonna get one, I just needed a couple of people to tell me I'm not crazy for spending that much on a knife, I'm tired of watching vids and looking at the pics of them, thanks

Once you get the bug it doesn't stop, save yourself the agony and get one. I'll also add that if you live in a area with colder weather invest in a micarta version.

Of course you're crazy for spending that much on a knife - but what does that have to do with anything?
Is the one you're looking at a "plain Jane"? Which blade shape?
