Should I or Shouldn't I

I have a 301 and a 309 that both have broken blades. The 309 has a broken back spring also. They are both Cammilus made meaning BUCK doesn't have parts(at least that's what they say) to fix them. My question is this: Since I have no emotional attachment to either knife, should I send them in for replacement or just keep them? At least then I'd have a couple of knives I could actually use.

Mitch, As you have said you have no emtional attachment to either knife. The only logical solution is send them in for replacement so you have working knives. Having two broken knives don't do you any good weather they are vintage or not...

I'd post that on the traditional forum, they may have a Remeresque fellow who has parts and could fix it.

I'd just send them back and have them replaced with current models. Two working knives are better than 2 broken knives....

I'm not home, but will know when my accountant calls and yells at me for spending the money and not telling her.
