My turn in the wait list has come up. Since I entered it seems they’ve moved away from the textured blades (i really liked the looks of those) in favor of polished (probably more functional but not as unique) and price has gone up. I’m on the fence about whether to just pass this up. $233 for the g10 or $285 with the carbon fiber, with s35vn. Is this an awesome enough knife to justify that price? Seems a little steep.

I lost interest when they moved away from the CNC’ed blades and ended up buying one on the secondary market.
It’s a sweet knife with the best detent I’ve ever felt…. I just think the version without the stepped blade is kind of ugly/boring. Also…. I have the CF version, and I almost feel like the handle is too light. I think the balance would be better with a G10 handle. Ymmv.

Appreciate it! I’m feeling the same, i liked the cnc blade, was thinking of this as a poor man’s Grimsmo or tighe when I signed up for the wait list…have a hard time getting excited about the newer version.
