Hey guys, I've been looking at the tusker model for a long time. I've got to say it is one of the best looking knives I've seen in a while and I was wondering if you guys could tell me what you are using them for. Pictures would be appreciated.

Also how do they compare to other high end knives (busses, randalls etc.)

Final question, should I buy one?

Thanks,

Tony

Yes , i have had mine for about 5years i bring on every trip, i have used for ever chore on a camp site and it still looks like new, and bomb proof .Scott makes awesome blades

Yes buy it you will not regret it! I have a big boar tusker and last hunting season I used it to gut skin and quarter a whitetail I harvested. There is nothing I can not do with this blade.Scott makes bomb proof knives and is great to deal with. At first he was a knife maker now I call him my friend!

Tony both of my knives are in A2. But both are very tough steels and a lot lays in the heat treat which Scott's is spot on.

Both steels are excellent for the Tusker. I've beat the piss out of my original Big Boar Tusker and it's O1. I do prefer A2 over O1 because A2 is a slight bit tougher and is alittle less prone to rust although if not cared for, it will rust but those things shouldn't steer you away from O1 if you like that steel. With that said, either is a good choice. Some folks just have a love for O1.

Or you could go with S35VN which is what I ordered to get a matching companion for my UNK. In any case, you can't go wrong with a Tusker. I am using my old one as my primary wilderness tool. Very tough, hard working, and honest knife. Scott really knows how to make them.

If you want a knife to fondle you have all kinds of choices - if you want a knife that gets the job done then get a Tusker.

Yes....Get a Tusker.

Ive used mine for about everything you could think of in the woods, and im thrilled more and more with it as time goes on. Ill post up some pics.

Yes, the mini tusker is an excellent design. I just purchased one recently in s35vn which is awesome. Mine is the spearpoint model with black micarta. So far I have battoned it, whittled traps and various things and skinned out a few squirrels with it. Holds an edge great and is tough as nails. Sheath and attention to detail are excellent!!
