I just got myself a 6 & it is a lovely blade. I recently got myself a hest & 3 mil. Esee makes some great blades. I decided to get the Esee comprehensive survival kit because it came with a 6

Uhhhhhhhhhhh...yeah !!
It's thinner, longer and lighter than the 5. What's not to like.

I got 2 . One serrated.
You need one. Really .
To get one and not like it? You'd have to be outta yer freakin' mind:D:eek::D

From the ESEE catalog, and right under the bold text introducing the ESEE-6, it reads;
The Flagship of ESEE's Wilderness Survival Knives
I think you can figure it out from here. ;)

Pea-Ta...did you strip the coating?...likes 'em nekkid. Though my vinegar/mustard patina skills a somewhat sub-par...any "tricks of the trade" ya'll out there are willing to pass along?

I just batoned through some bricks of chocolate with my 6 tonight to make some chocolate covered pretzels. Hard core stuff. It'll also bash through just about anything this side softer than concrete.

Do it, man. I love my -6. I need to get some accessories for it now. ESEE knives are like women: once you have one, you'll never be content with just her. :D

Yes, she is nude at the moment with no tan... I just sanded with 600 grit to even out some tooling marks and left it at that... Slices so much better than before and it even blows away my 4 at slicing and food prep...

As for patina's I usually use lime juice. Just slice a lime and rub it across the blade. Wait a few min and repeat... Or I let a natural one set in... I do want to try the grapefruit patina one of these days tho..

Get one...

I started with the 3... then the 4...

A week ago my 6 arrived - you wont be disappointed.
