Should I regrind it, or send it in to KAI for clean up?

I've been using my 0350 pretty hard. I've been 100% satisfied but today the knife fell off a saw horse and got a weird chip/roll after hitting the concrete blade first. I was actually surprised to be honest, I've done some pretty harsh stuff over the past couple weeks with it and it's been a champion through it all. The knife saw continued use the rest of the day including chipping adhesive concrete, which rounded the chip off.

So I'm wondering if KAI will/can repair it, but then I got to thinking about maybe reprofiling it to a spanto point if they won't. Either way, I think the knife has proven itself beyond any doubt to me and I'm going to retire it from my hard use EDC to my SHTF gear and casual EDC role.

Here it is a couple days ago. This was from one day of work and the knife was completely cleaned and sharpened the previous night to give you an idea of the amount of use it's been seeing.

This may ruin my chances of KAI covering it, but I'm convinced this is the toughest folder you can get at it's size and price bracket.

u can get a whole new blade for 30 bucks if you send it in, otherwise i would sharpen it. Im sure for a small fee someone here would sharpen for u

I would just sharpen it out. That way you can keep all the Character you've put on it so far.

Yeah, that doesn't look like it'll be that terribly difficult an undertaking. Should sharpen out just fine.

Just an update, I would have turned my 0350 blade into the shape of an 0560 if I had sharpened it out all the way.

What I did do was give it a bullnose/tanto shape at the tip. I like the direction, so I'm going to hit it with a flat file soon and grind it down a bit more. Because of the belly profile, I'm going to have to grind the tip at almost 90 degrees straight up.

I figure after I get the big belly tanto style grind where I want it, I'm going to acid wash it, but leave the thumbstud and oval ZT logo with the stonewashed finish. With the liners staying brushed it should accent fairly well.

I just wish someone made factory pattern 0350 G10 grips. I think a royal blue with the acid wash and tanto grind would look epic. I'm thinking Cerakote in either that, or tungsten grey.

Does anyone know where I can get some studs to replace the G10 spacer at?

Just clean the blade up and send it to someone on here who wants some practice with their wicked edge, that system will fix that edge no problem. Might take a couple hours but it will do it, the rest of the blade will clean up pretty well. I hear good things about tough cloth and need to get some to try because my cbcf is getting rust spots FAST on the sandvick portion (like within 24 hours of taking it out of the box simply sitting on a table in my house). But from what I have heard tough cloth wipes that stuff right off and protects it pretty well.
