Should I sell my BM610 now or will it appreciate even more?

I'm sure theses types of question show up here from time to time but I'm new and this being my first post I thought I'd just get it out of the way. I've been holding on to this blade along with a few other BM's that are no longer available with the intention of selling them and truth be told I could sell the 610 for what they've been bringing on that one auction site and be doing pretty good. The question is how much better could I do? I've not been around the contemporary folder world long enough to know if this sort of knife flattens out or just keeps going up.
This kind of thing isn't a science I realize but does anyone have good data on appreciation with discontinued BM's? I'm not asking for dollar amount here just general philosophy on production folders that have been discontinued. I don't need the money but at the same time it would be nice to have some idea if it was climbing or leveling off. I know it's not that simple but I'm interested on many levels.
Thank you for you consideration and patience.

If you like the knife, keep it. If you want an investment, consider index mutual funds instead of knives.

Most, if not all, discontinued knives eventually hit a ceiling when it comes to appreciation. It only takes a year or so to reach that.

That knife is about as rare and desirable as it will get right now IMO. It might generate less interest in a year or two the way new knives are being made with more desirable steels and AFAIK that company has been heat treating for better performance lately. I don't see knives as investments but if I did there are some more recent models that will catch the eye and lust of true knife junkies. Look for steels like S90V, S110V, and M390 and if you don't mind non stainless knives in Cruwear, 4V, Vandis 4E, on up to the mighty 10V.

Looking for investment knives is easy. Look at the knives that are generating the most complaints from people who had pre orders that weren't filled due to larger demand than production delivered. There have been some pretty hot knives between Benchmade, Spyderco and Kershaw.

Your current knife was a good knife with some people out there willing to buy but it won't exactly inspire bidding wars.

Good luck. Do some reading here. There is a lot of information compiled and chances are someone has asked about your knife or situation some time in the past. Learn to research things here and do some reading. This place is well worth membership fees even without taking into consideration the fact it's better to do the right thing in life. :)
