Should I trade my Dad's xmas present?

He collects old Marbles so last year I got him a new leather stack woodcraft for him so he had a Marbles to use in the field while hunting. We actually used it today on a doe he shot. Anyways, I bought him another one for this x-mas which is a Marbles guthook with Cocobola handle but I don't think he'll end up using it and it is not as collectible as the older models. Should I keep it and give it to him, or try to trade it for something more unique. I am a novice around here so any advice would help.

Since he collects them and does not have one like it I would give it to him. If he loves Marbles he will love that one. Especially if it came from his son.
 
There are a lot of folks who don't like gut hooks. It all depends on whether he's one of them. Some hunters feel that they're more trouble than they're worth. Since I've never hunted, I can't say one way or the other, though.
