Should I trade my Renegade?

I have a Spyderco Renegade that I'm too afraid to use because of it's fine tip. I bought it to be a self defense knife. What bugs me the most is it's discontinued. I'm asking you guys because you always seem to know the answers . So what should I do? Thank you for your time.

Thats up to you but I would not be afraid to use it.I had one and traded it,wish I kept it.

Does it have serrations?
Either case I wouldn't. I kinda regret selling mine. It was a neat knife, and I wouldn't do something that would've broke the tip.
