The Spyderco Tuff is out.. I've wanted one for forever. But I don't know if I should sell some of my knives to get it...

Really that's all I got unless I sell a bunch of cheaper knives. But my Chokwe isn't going anywhere.

If you can get a buyer for a bunch of cheap knives, that could work.:)
Otherwise, I guess start a Tuff fund.:)
I've been surprised how fast quarters pile up in a jar now that I don't have to use them for laundry. Throw all your change in a jar, and in a month or two, you might just have enough for a Tuff.

(Of course, who am I to talk...I sold my dad a couple of knives so I could get a Tuff:D)

I definitely would NOT sell those 2 excellent knives for one knife with such an unconventional design as the tuff. I'm sure it's a very nice knife, but to me it just doesn't seem all that versatile on a day to day basis.

I see myself using the Tuff though. the only thing is that huge groove in the blade. But I don't see that stopping use.

If you do it, make sure you sharpen it carefully, stay away from the asphault stropping. ;)

I'm holding out for the brad southard flipper. The tuff is just too crazy for me, the knife is 9" overall, but with only 3" of cutting edge, but if it appeals to you, I say go for it!

Haha one person.

I always try and go outside the box! Really though, tbe Tuff is one of the few Spydercos that appeals to me. It's a great looking knife that looks like it would be pretty useful to me. Unfortunately all my knife money for the foreseeable future is already mapped out.

It would depend on why you want the knife so much.

If you have a specific use in mind, which you understand the Tuff will fit perfectly, then try to get the best price for your current ZT and Spidey, and go for it. If you just want the knife because you enjoy an interesting new folder (because you're a knife nut and need to be the first on your block), and you've already enjoyed your ZT and Stretch as much as you will, then go for it as well. However, if you just yearn for it because it's new and a bit out of reach, then I would say wait a bit. Patience builds character. And you might find that you can afford it further down the road, without selling your other knives. Maybe putting your quarters in a piggy bank; a lot of quarters...

Ed Schempp designs great cutting blades, so you won't go wrong whatever option you choose.

How long have you had your 0560?

Personally, I'm not so fond of the Tuff. It's a great knife and an uncommon configuration (3V Ti framelock), but I'm not a fan of the fuller or the circular dimples machined throughout the scales/handle.

But if you really want it and are positive you won't miss your 0560, go for it. Odds are you can find another 0560 in case you really do find yourself wanting one again.
