For Example, Mike Snody is doing his best to keep in touch with his clients and to those reaching out to him in public forums. What's your take on engaging those on public forums?

I like it.

You would have to be rather thick to not know snody makes knives right?

Mike,:thumbup:on your video and the way you handed the response with dignity and respect.

:thumbdn: to the "Arch Duke of Arkansas" for his prejudged narrative on Mike and the web site. A little more research would have served him well.

Liked the video. Mike's whole gestalt is engaging the world his way. Snody World. Social Networking at it's finest. Obviously not many people can pull that sort of thing off. More power to him.

Mikes a nice guy and makes great knives. He has heart and soul and passion and it reflects in what he does.

Well said Paul.
You make some nice knives Mike, and from what I can see you're a good businessman.
Some folks need to put a little more thought into what and why they post.

Mike handled that incredibly well. I've never met the guy in person, but I find him incredibly likeable and find his knives very appealing even though they fall outside my primary area of custom knife interest. I'm positive I'll own one some day. He stands as an example of a maker who has grabs hold of the web / social media and rides it like a freight train. There's a lot to learn from him when it comes to effective marketing.

"Archduke" needs to get out more.

+ 1 very nice words

i would not buy a knife from some makers, do to the fact i know the makers personaly, and the interaction between maker-buyer is not clicking
but Mr. Snody is defenaly not one off theme, the man is good folk
( just me saying as a collector )

as a user.. i don't care if the devil it self grinded the knife.. if it is the best for the job, i take it

Your always a gentleman Mike and a positive force in this industry keep on rolling brother

Where is link to other thread

Damn!!!!! I need to hurry and make 719 videos so I can go hang with mike and get a snody knife! Especially sicne I cant really afford to buy many knives and afford to buy equipment and supplies!

You know I really like Snody in his videos. At first I was very judgmental about his site his "thuggish" style but as I saw more of his post and videos hes a straight forward guy who does give MUCH RESPECT from texas and seems pretty sincere. I hope nothing but the best for him and hopefully one day Ill get out to a knife sow and meet the man himself :D:thumbup:

ALL I CAN SAY IS $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$NODY is the real deal.

I think it was a dignified response (perhaps the OP comments didn't even merit a response). I have a new found insight into Snody and I actually learned a lot from this video! I am new to knives and didn't have an idea of how his site worked. Good stuff. Anyways, should knifemakers engage the public? Yes! For sure, the more I get to know and see the "real" side of certain makers the more I want their knives. I think personalities spill over into the business world. Good people will make consistently good products, IMO. +1 for Snody.

I support Mike.

Excellent video Mr. Snody, and thank you for taking the time to reply. I too do not totally understand or agree with the $nodyworld marketing that you have developed, but i have a newfound respect for who you are and what you do. To me at least the quality of your knives was never in question, and i'm willing to admit that i am at least one person that has been converted and will be adding a Snody knife to my collection.

Mike is very unique and creative in marketing his products, in fact, he has "Ball" (big one) to do so, I give him two thumbs up.

If you put yourself out there - you're gonna take some hits

I respect the engagement - Mike can teach too

There will always be haters, the thing about $nody... I see nothing but a bright future for him as a custom maker.
