I wanted a custom 110 with BG-42, NS bolsters and sambar stag awhile ago but put it off till later because I had just bought another knife. I wen't to check it out again today and noticed that sambar stag has gone all the way from $36 to $144:eek:. Why has the price increased so much? It's just a pair of scales. Looks like I'll have to buy a cabelas version with brass bolsters instead of NS:(.
 
Seems to me I heard they can't import the sambar anymore.

Go with the elk......that's got a nice look to it.

Well, if you want to go with the Cabela's AG version 110 stag, remember that 500 were made in that edition and any new stag is going to cost more.

Personally, I'd pay a little more for a custom and get the nickel bolsters and three nickel pings.

But that's just me.
