Hey all. I'm just wondering if there's anyone on here who has experimented at all with carrying a sizeable fixed blade in a shoulder rig. I'm considering getting a Bastinelli universal shoulder holster for my TOPS Szabo Express which is a pretty lightweight but still serviceable sized blade. Is this viable or is it a gimmick? I tend to think it'd be more out of the way and more comfortable than on the belt or something.

Bronn is waaaay cooler than The Witcher!

That being said, apart from personal preference, is there a reason you don't want to scout carry your knife?

I've tried scout carry a number of times and no matter what it was just too uncomfortable. It sits right at the point in my back where I suffered and injury some years ago.

Oh, I get it now!

Back injuries suck!

My old injury flared up after the foot pursuit I had last week.

Someone went to jail. He was carrying a counterfeit Benchmade knock-off.

This may not be what you had in mind, but it's cheap and effective (although it helps to have a good quality factory sheath to begin with, as is the case in the video):

I have back issues too and can do scout with the right sheath....It takes some doing to find a good fit for your comfort...... Or I mostly go cross draw now between 9-11 o'clock. On my waist...Scout worx at 4 o'clock for me no further back

Good luck!!!👍
