hey guys i recently got a knife that came with a shoulder harness or holster but it is very uncomfortable, and the way its made is one loop (the loop part is elastic but not the rest) that you put arm through and the rest gets pulled over opisat shoulder and down to pant waist (secured with clip). it only has one loop for one are compared to other designs on both knife and gun shoulder harness where there is 2 loops (that cross like a X on the back) and then one and sometimes 2 straps coming off that to go down to pants. the one that cam with this knife keeps sliding up way to far to the point where it is visible in the back because it slides up above where the collar of a shirt sits i think its because part of it is made from elastic so it stretches to far and with out that 2nd loop there is nothing to keep it pulled down. so i decided to try and make one myself so i went and got all materials and kinda did a dry run ( i used pins to hold everything together so i can make sure everything fits before i either sew or rivet it all in place). most of it to my surprise came out better than i thought it would the only problem i am having is where that X that i was talking about before is on the back also tends to slide up a bit (no where near as bad as the one that came with the knife) but just enough to annoy me. the way i have it no the straps cross in the back with no attachment. now i have seen some things on the computer looking at pics of holsters that instead of just having the straps cross with nothing else holding them in that spot some pics i have seen show a piece of leather (or other matterial) that sits in the middle of the back and then the straps are attached to that piece of leather. so i guess the straps have to be cut and attached to that lil piece of leather. does any one know why they are made like this insted of just having the straps cross on the back i was thinking that this might help the straps from sliding up any one know if i am right? i would really appreciate any help on this or if any 1 knows where i may find "plans" i can take things from any help would be appreciated

Honestly I dont think you are going to find very many who use shoulder harnesses for a knife. And you probably would have better luck in the proper forum. Also using some spaces in your paragraph would make it much easier to read. I know at least 20 people opened this thread took one look at the mass of words and kept right on going.

I would go cruise fleabay and look at gun shoulder rigs for examples.

My favorite is the Bianchi's from Miami Vice.
