I don't know if this has been discussed or not but let's say a guy had a Galco shoulder rig for his pistol. Could or does anyone make a sheath where you could interchange the holster with a sheath?

misc 055.jpgmisc 057.jpgWithout knowing how the rigging is designed, hard to say...I made this one so it could interchange with other holsters (see d-rings) so in this case, the sheath would have such d-rings to make it work.....comprendes?

I was thinking more along these lines with out the mag pouch.

And my point is if you use a common means of interchanging, like the d-rings, the answer to your questions is yes, it can be done.

I like that rig! Depending on how that thing connects to the holster I'd say a resounding yes! As long as the sheath maker can use the same connectors.

I've done quite a few shoulder holsters based on Stohlman patterns that made the transition to knife sheaths very easily. The key seems to be the angle that the knife is held on the rig, one way too far and it either sticks out or hangs too low. It all depends on the size of the knife. There is one pictured on my site with a nine inch bladed knife that hid under a mid length jacket. I'd be comfortable wearing that rig anywhere, well but in the summer down here. :p
