Hi all, I was wondering who makes an shoulder sheath carry for an knife? I think it'll be a great way to carry a knife while out and about. I know there are pictures of people's sheath but fill me in with details.

What type or size of knife are you looking at carrying this way?

I'm not sure if you're looking for a shoulder carry harness or if you need a sheath as well. If you just need the harness ,Mercop's 'Mercharness' works well for me and it's very light and cheap. I've carried my old CS Oyabun ,which is quite a long knife, this way and it works really well. In fact ,if I ever find a kydex sheath for my Trailmaster, I plan on carrying it the same way.

Speaking of sheaths, does anyone know the status of Mike Sastre at Rivercity Sheaths? I'm dying to buy a kydex sheath from him for my Spyderco Warrior and perhaps, if I can at all afford it, a sheath for my Trailmaster as well. I've sent him several e-mails but I never hear back. His website is still up so perhaps he's just on vacation? [How dare he!]

robert, at survival sheath systems makes them. he has a sub forum on here.

unfortuneately, there have recently been some fairly serious issues, after he moved from his old location. I'm not sure if they've been resolved.
