I ordered a custom makers stamp from this gentleman. I'll write my thoughts on the quality when I get it, but what I really wanted to say is how I found him in the first place.
I saw (on another leather oriented forum) that a guy was offering a FREE "Made in the USA" stamp. His intent is to make aware the importance of buying (and manufacture and selling) products created here. The offer is for a stamp that could go under your normal marketing and he's flexible about size and even wording (USA, America, etc).
I wasn't in the market for a stamp exactly, but I thought this was a really cool gesture. My day job is working in a manufacturing factory and the subject hits close to home.
The stamp is very nearly free. Etsy has a minimum price set at 0.20¢ and of course you'll want to pay for the shipping.
In my short dealings with this seller I've found a proud and very nice to work with craftsman. I never felt like I needed to buy anything, but figured that I could make my product a little more professional while at the same time supporting a person who feels like I do.
If you're in the market for a custom (and very reasonable) makers stamp, or if you'd like to take him up on his offer, I suggest looking him up.
