Shout Out to the Buck Custom Shop

[Midnight Rider]

My Dad has carried a blue-handled lockback knife made by (four letter "C" word) for the past 30+ years. I decided it was time to offer him a different (better) option. So I ordered a custom 110/112 set from Buck. I have read mixed reviews about Buck's "Blue wood", but here they are:

I offered Dad his choice, and to my surprise, he chose the 112. I couldn't be happier with the build quality on these knives! Buck did A-1 work, and I very much appreciate it! Just wanted to give credit where it's due.

They came out perfect. Congrats! I'm a 110 guy but nothing feels better in your hand than a 112 with finger grooves. Thanks for posting.

Thank you. I have never owned a finger grooved version of either one, before. Now that I've held one of each I love the feel of them. And it looks like I'll need to order another 112FG, soon.

Those are wonderful...and the knock I've read and seen about the Indigo blue is that some turned out a green blue to blue black. Yours are 'true blue'. Congrats!

Thanks! To me, they look as good or better than the marketing photo. They are just as blue in person. Matching scales aren't a big issue for me, but I like the fact that they matched not only the scales, but the knives to each other.
