Shovel?

Like many of Cold Steel Machetes (the shovels have roughly the same QC) sometimes they come with an utility edge and sometimes they come fully sharpened. But sharp or not the shovel is a great piece of kit. In either case, it would not be to hard to take a sharp edge off if it got in the way of its digging utility or put an aggressive edge on for chopping. IMHO with 4 edges to profile its nice to keep one sharp enough for kindling work around the campfire.
 
Mine was not cutting sharp. It would still chop down small trees, but would not cut you unless you swung it.
 
Just wish it was on option. Are they sharpened when they get to the US, or sharpened over seas? If cold steel does it here, should be easy to get? Maybe

It depends on the model
The Katana Machete is fully sharpened, as is the Gladius, but the Kukri Machete features the original utility edge.

Isn't the Kopis Machete fully sharpened too? The one I received was.
