Well, it wasn't a Blade but I did find it at a show, a gun show.

It's a 3" Bali-song, hidden pins, countersunk holes. The latch is really tight, the handles, when closed, are closer together than a BM 30. The blade is a brushed utility blade with a the small butterfly with Bali-Song inside with the Registered mark next to it.

The opposite side of the blade is marked

US PAT NO
4,364,174
MADE IN USA

Came with 3" sheath with white Bali-Song logo at the bottome followed by the Registered mark and USA.

This baby is in GREAT condition, no nicks or scrathes on blade, minor markings on the latch (possibly from being opened and closed a few times). The latch is VERY tight and has a slight resistance to movement. Locks VERY tight both open and closed.

So, my question is, WTF did I just find? And what, is the estimated value based on the information given? I'll let you know what I paid once I hear the estimates, but I'll tell you this much, I've paid more for a 3"er.

Hmmm, sounds like either a 68 or maybe a customized 30 where comebody countersuck the holes. I remember somebody on here had one like that. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay?

What you have is a Pacific Cutlery 68. NIB they can go for around $250 but you said that yours has several marks on the blade and the latch, those marks are consistent with manipulation (doens't sound like a whole lot of manipulation), so I'd say that it go for close to $200.

I said that there were No marks on the blade. The only marks on the latch seem to be from opening and closing. The tightness of the handles makes me feel it was never manipulated, or if it was it was done with 2 hands like in the Goonies.

I bought it thinking it was a 35 and that it what I argued the price down too. I didn't take notice of the blade shape when I was haggling, I simply noticed the 3" blade and the delux handles.

The guy who had it was asking $140, I beat him down to $115. This is great since I payed $110 for a BM 30 in not so good condition with no sheath.

Now that I know it's a 68, I guess I have to store it away so it'll stay in such beautiful shape.

Sounds like you got a great deal on a great balisong, it might be a good thing that you thought it was a 35, otherwise you might have payed a little bit more (which isn't necessarily bad since $140 would have been a good price for it anyway).

I was very pleased to score a mint-in-box PC 69, for BM 30 in excellent condition, and 50 bucks. this is the one i'v been waiting for, and the only non-BM bali in my collection. I was tempted to get the mint-in-box 68 he had as well, but i had to save my money...and was glad when i happened to be in the right place at the right time and snatched a black satin bladed nemisis, NIB, for 400 bones. BTW, the 350 miles to atlanta was worth every inch
