Show me: GEC Copperhead bone

That is a live example of this. The direct sunlight in that picture makes the colors pop quite a bit.

The pics are great thanks everyone.

I ask for the pics because I have my Precious in for new scales at GEC now (my red bone sawcut 77 fell on my tile floor and cracked the mark side scale in early Julyj!). My choices for new scales included Copperhead sawcut bone so I chose that, since Old Red sawcut is not available. They're doing a run of 77's right now, so mine is being sent through along with them to simplify the process.

Thanks again for the pics! I can't wait to get my trusty 77 back - it is sorely missed!

The actual "real word" appearance differs from run to run. I have a TK cuban in it, and I had a #42, they were different my favorite run of all the copperhead jigged/saw bone was on the 81 stock knives. Yellow came out, amber broke through from behind the brown. Just beautiful. Maybe kba will post up a picture for us.

Yes I have noticed a variance between models and runs. No way to know how these will turn out on this current run. I'll post pics when it arrives. :)

That was very nice of them to run it through for you... I bet they turn out like the 14 sawcut.

Chestnut bone, but something to look at...

Thanks cbr, and yes I'd wanted that original Old Red color (this 77 is from the run in sept 2015), but this Copperhead will be beautiful I'm sure. I love the saw-cut bone as I think it's THE classic Barlow texture.

I'm hoping for a darker Copper like the recent run of 14's. But that 15 looks great too.

Here's a couple. The #15 is what I would prefer for "copperhead."

Funny that you mention that Dean, I've found after having 3 PPP TC's that it's really what 'antique amber' should be compared to the long pull clip TC in antique amber (which is more of a old tan sawcut in my opinion). The LPS has true hues of amber. The 14 is what I'd consider copperhead with that slight yellow gradient.

Jeff, as you've no doubt figured out be now, the GEC Copperhead coloring is quite varied from run to run. But as you can see from the pics in this thread, they're all winners! Here's the TK Cuban in copperhead:

The Copperhead sawcut bone on the upcoming #77's is probably going to be darker than any of the jigged bone versions shown here. My guess is that it'll be closest to the #14 TC Barlows that were finished a couple months ago, like what texmex03 posted. Here are the unfinished Copperhead #77 scales from GEC's in-production photos.

And another Copperhead sawcut #14 for good measure.
