As the title states, I'm not really in the market for anymore new knives, seeing how my knife budget has been way way way way overspent. I am, however, a little bored with the current knife market, every brand I know doesn't have much of anything coming out soon that I want, at least not until Shot Show shows some new stuff.

With that being said, I'd like to see some knives out there that ARE NOT from popular brands that everyone has seen a thousand times (ZT, spyderco, benchmade, OKC, Steel will, WE, Civivi, lionsteel, Reate, the list goes on). Mostly looking for knives around the $100-$500 range in case something does catch my eye. One I've found within the past few weeks was the KD Knives arsen which I think is gorgeous, love well done drop points. Picture below from KD Knives himself to get this started.

Three Sisters Forge Gorgon.

I don’t know if this fits your criteria. From what I’ve seen Three Sisters Forge is known by many on the forums but I’ve yet to talk to anyone else who has heard of them. My wife and I both have one and love it.

Your message to the BF world is reminiscent of the title of the old Beatles song “Please please me”, except it’s more of a “Please me or what you have to say is categorically rejected”. Best of luck with your quest for knives that deserve historically unequalled and overpowering popularity but haven’t yet attained even one shred of recognition. BTW--I’m on the same quest, but so far I’ve been settling for knives that are widely recognized as being somewhere between better and best quality. If KD is what rings your bells, then buy everything they sell. Problem solved.

I am very honestly confused as to how you managed to get this from what the OP posted. You might want to give it another read.

Seconded.

I welcome this thread as a refreshing change from “what’s the sliciest folder” [cue endless FFG Spyderco recommendations], or “what knife should I buy [ditto the above plus multiple COLD STEEL plugs].

If that chap thinks these knives, such as the Nazarov I posted, can’t compete in terms of quality and value with the big companies, he is very much mistaken.

I love Spydie, Benchmade, Buck, etc. But they ain’t the be all and end all. Not by a very long shot.

Oooh, you bringing up sliciest made me remember Perceval Knives. French company that doesn't seem to sell a lot in the states, but man if you want a slicer you need a Le Français from Perceval.

This is a bit over your specified price range, but it's a brand that more people should know about. Here's my Barbus from Sander Limited (a.k.a. Sander Knives).

That's pretty nice, Jim.

How does it feel in hand and how's the action/lock up/etc?
