How about some pictures of your mini alphas and your dorados. I'm really in the mood to get a new Buck. I'm leaning toward one of these , especially the mini alpha. The mini alpha looks like it would be a great little squirrel knife.

Wow what a show, Jb4570 is that elkhorn dorado from LLbean? I noticed one similar to that on there site.

Yes K,

That is where that one came from and it did not have that LLBean black etch on the blade they often put on their SO knives:). As you can see I have a soft spot for the Alpha series knives.

JB, I am dumbfounded! That first AD you showed is the most beautiful version I have ever seen. Well done, my friend.

Jb4570, thanks. I've often looked at the buck knives on their since they had some special offerings but the ll bean logo always turned me off a bit. Nothing against ll bean as I own a few pieces of gear from there. I just didn't care for the looks of the logo. That's a real sweet looker there.

I'm very close to pulling the trigger on a s30v mini alpha off the Buck site.:D

Ok guys I'm really confused on the mini alpha. On the Buck collector club site it has the mini listed as model # 196 on the Buck web site it has the mini listed as 195. If you go to the evilbay they have mini alphas listed both as 195 and 196. ??????

Same knife just different blade steel and some times different handles.

Ok thanks. I just didn't realize they used different model #'s on the same knife.

Well, your are absolutely correct. I didn't realize that until going up and taking a second look. I guess I'm just use to them having the same model number and just stating the steel is different like they do on 110s ,and 192s . I never realized it.
