LEO's, Grunts, Sheriffs, Security etc! Lets see your vests! prefer photos with the vest on you so i can gauge size etc... plus - type of vest (brand/model) and attachments

I'm working a fairly large festival this year, and part of my duties as the Director of Security is night patrols thru the woods surrounding the 5 acre campsite. I need to carry a small FAK, radio, flashlight (surefire with flipup red lens), spare batts, back up light (Fenix TK11), Animal control products (bear bangers , possibly a 12 gauge with mixed bear banger and slug shells). Admin panel etc etc etc.

Here are some pics of what I wore when I was in Mosul. Keep in mind this was 03-04, things have changed since I got out of the Army.

These were scanned from pics taken with a disposable camera. I was wearing an IBA. 2x 32oz canteens, 2x ammo/grenade pouches, Camelback, IR chemlight, flex-cuffs, Surefire e2e, D/A Socom or Cuda Dominator clipped next to light.

I'm looking for a good shot in my albums, maybe I'll just throw it on and take a few shots but I've been using a Blackwater Plate Carrier and its pretty good. I recommend them and PC's in general, not too much in size, some can have a cumberbund added for added protection/real estate (Diamondback Tactical comes to mind there and they make really great stuff). Also, 5.11 makes a very small carrier and I know that SOE makes "micro rigs" (http://www.militarymorons.com/equipment/2ndline2.html#micro) that might be just the ticket for you.

This isn't my auction so I think I'm safe but I'm only posting it because the best shots I could find are here:

As a side note I never really liked or found a need for the admin pouches. They take a lot of space up on the chest where other things could be and whatever I'd think of sticking in one (flashlight, knife, batteries, map, pen, etc) always ended up in a pocket, on the belt, or, in the case of a knife or flashlight, in its own pouch.

thanks for the link hammer. I dont need a plate carrier or armour, more of a platform for my gear, which so far will be:

- Motorola HT100 with extension mike
- cell
- large Rite in rain notebook
- 2 HB pencils, one red sharpie, one black sharpie
- 4 ultrabright white glowsticks for marking first aid locations (so other officers can find us)
- bear/cougar control kit (launcher + 12 banger rounds)
- SF Spares carrier1 with 6 SF cr123's
- TK11 or Pelican 7060 light for sweeping the forest (multiple trails leading into camp)
- SF L2 for general use.
- custom FAK + epipen + Benadrylkit
- Emerson folder
- fixed blade
- snacks
- possibly a SATphone for 911 call if cell gets no reception.
- digital camera (Fuji S200HD)

i like those minirigs.........

5.11 makes a tactical vest with all sorts of pockets and pouches, some hidden...can be seen on Stargate Atlantis.
