Ive finally grown tired of my stock BK14 sheath, and im looking for a kydex custom sheath to replace it. It should be a simple, not wide, fold-over sheath with few rivets, that'll be carried in the pocket. Preferably from a maker who has a template, so i wont have to send my knife in.

Ive looked around and besides azwelke's sheaths, i havent found any. I like azwelkes sheaths, but id like somthing a bit slimmer. Ive contacted Kiah too, to hear if he has any for the BK14.

Do you guys recommend anybody? Pictures always welcome for inspiration!

Slimmer than an azwelke sheath?

Good luck!

I wear mine around my neck and you don't even feel the weight; would feel it even less if I put it in my pocket!

This is it with a photon LED and a fire steel under the ranger band.

I can see how "slimmer" can be misunderstood. I meant not as wide as the stock sheath. First post edited. Makes more sense now?

@lecter, do you have a frontal picture of your sheath?

Prop,
I have been looking for the exact same thing for my 14 and 11.... The sheath don't fit since I cord wrapped the handles. I want to carry them in the front pocket in kydex. We got a local kydex maker who goes by sharktac here at the gun show in bout 2 weeks. Will post it when I get it done. Unless a beckerhead pipes up with something.

I've made my own, very simple kydex sheath for the BK14. It's very slim, not very wide and was super easy to make. Can you get some kydex in Denmark?

Depending on how much para wrap is in the way you can also take a heat gun to the original sheath and reform it a bit, I've done it for a few buddies.

@Lecter Thanks for the pic. Azwekels sheaths are definitely on my list.

Nevertheless, I'd still like to see what sharktac has come up with.

Got any pics of your homemade sheath? Im located in Sweden now, but it dosent really matter. Kydex is available all over the world via the internet.

True, but a custom kydex sheath is much better than the glass-reinforced stock sheath, which is big, bulky and dulls the knife. But sure, the heatgun is a viable, low-cost option.

Sure thing, I'll take one tomorrow.

Martin Swinkels doesn't have any Becker pattern knives, but his work is top notch. He's a dutch kydex bender, love the sheath he made me for my ESEE-3.

A member made this one for me back in June or July I believe. His name is Glockcrazz, he's out of Louisiana I believe. Damn good work, retention is excellent. If you take off the included teklok it'd be pretty thin.

I got two Azwelkes in transit for the ones I'm gifting this christmas, still came in at like 50 bucks total on ea knife, should make nice gifts I think.

Hoping to get my new bk14 kydex from gavko next week. Its already made, just waiting to be shipped. Man I'm stoked!!!!!!

Thanks Murphnuge for the kind words bro.
That sheath I made is very slim and squared off at the bottom to fit the custom fire steel. The only thing to make it smaller would be to clip the corner.
Here's a few I did on the Izula and Scrapivore.
