After a year(?) or more, I forget about things. Like ordering an OSK-1 from Charlie May. I am totally stoked, but scrambling to figure out how to pay for it. I think, for me, it is about as perfect looking a blade can be (just after a Busse BA III and the Kephart). I can't wait to get it and use it.
Anyhow, I was looking at his current offerings and thought of Hollowdweller who seems to have a bit of Charlies work. Who else has some? Show it if you gots it! Please.;)

Still got this FireAnt, had a second one and a Holt Collier Special, that I sold to thin out the herd.

I really miss my Swamp Oak. I lost it out of my pocket last winter:thumbdn:

I have one of those Traces I think but I got it used and the scales are super thin.

Thinking about taking them off and putting something thicker on.

The Swamp Oak I lost and the Skifa both had thicker scales.

:D YES SERGEANT! I'll tell you though, Charlie was great to work with as he sent me pictures of the ironwood slabs to pick the best set for the knife when I was in Iraq. My only complaint is that the D2 was hardened pretty hard and when I hit some knotted wood, I noticed some very small chips. I worked them out and it's still a great blade...it's actually my "dress" knife when I carry a fixed blade around town.

Same here. Charlie called a week ago and said "the knife was finished except the scales. What kind did I want."

Charlie who? :confused: Oh I did order a knife a looong time ago. Hopefully my FireAnt will be here next week. :D
 
Charles' work is awesome...I really hope to get one of his knives someday soon. Definetly someone I want to add to my collection.
 
I came home to this last night unexpectedly. The pics do not do it justice and it seems that I get further from being able to prove I was once a pro photographer everytime I take a picture.
This blade is as near perfection as I can imagine. Let me introduce the OSK-1 in D2, black canvas micarta, white liners and mosaic pins. I am not a fan of mosaics, but I've never seen ones this beautiful before and I love these.

I had a scandi from him, had a chance to get another one from Joezilla, no funds at the time and scandis fell out of favor with me (until I traded into a BHK boat tail scandi). Some really nice blades, on my list to order from next year.
