I am thinking about convexing my Millie and/or PM2 but am not sure how it will look. I understand that convexing is more than aesthetics...but I'd like to see what it may look like. To me, it's part of the fun of the hobby.

Can you folks show my your convexed Millies or PM2s?

No one has done this? Well I guess if I do it, I will post. Yes, I am trying to fish for pics by bumping this thread.

These pics are not so great and I'm not done polishing it, but you get the idea:

Honestly, I think I may have ground it too thin, because the edge rolls quite easily. I thought the steel would be able to take it, hence the reason why I did it in the first place. Oh well, it'll be an excellent soft-medium slicer and not a woodcarver, which I would have wanted.

i'm still at the stage of mastering the primary sharpening edge and here you are talking about convexing. grr..

Duro, thank you for offering the pics of your convexed Endura. If you have that, I would very much like to see that too, thank you :)!

Stoffi, very nice convexing. Did you sand/convex the entire height of the blade?

Thanks folks,

Yep, it's a full zero-grind convex blade now. The steel is very difficult to grind by hand and it took forever. My advice is to not use cheap sandpaper.
I did, and I consequently got a 1mm² crater in one spot from using a small hand held belt grinder.
Use the good stuff and go methodically and easy. This blade is already very thin, so if you're gonna do a zero-grind then go slow.
If you're only doing the edge then whatever -- proceed as usual.
