I actually purchased this ZDP-189 Delica here on Bladeforums. It was owned by Ban Tang, he reground it to his rediculously beautuful and sharp convex edge. He posted it forsale, stated he never got around to using it. I jumped on it, and with simple stropping, it remains THE sharpest knife I own. My simple pics can't do the edge justice.

It's funny -- with some of the new Spydercos I've picked up recently (Sage 1, PPT, Superhawk, etc.), I thought my Delicas were pretty much "retired." But I needed to make a quick trip to Michigan last week -- and hearing that the state had a < 3" limit (I was in a hurry and didn't want to research any further), I packed the foliage green Delica with my check-in luggage. I had no reason to use it on the trip, but I was happily impressed (re-impressed?) with the weight and balance of the knife.

What's old is new again... :)

I would post pictures, but alas, I lost my Delica a month or so ago. I plan on replacing it with a ZDP variant though.

I really dig the Delica. It's made of VG-10, FRN and some kind of witchy mojo that makes me always come back to it... no matter what other new folders I buy.

Delica 4: resistance is futile...

This is my oldest Gen1 Delica. This one has been through heck and back, although it doesn't really show it. But the FRN clip on the backside is still intact. I've lost the lanyard since this photo was taken, though.

Yep...That's a Gen1 Delica pictured in the middle of my photo -- it's amazing how durable those old suckers were/are...
